Christopher J. Coulson is a member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) and is a registered member of the European Association for Counselling (EAC). He holds the European Certificate of Counsellor Accreditation (ECCac).
He is also a Professional Member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), the International Association for Marriage and Family Counselors (IAMFC) and the American Psychological Association (APA).
In the UK, Coulson is registered as a psychotherapist and group psychotherapist by the United Kingdom Council on Psychotherapy (UKCP), the UK national governing board for psychotherapy.
Coulson practices under the Code of Ethics published by the EAC, the EMCC and the UKCP. These codes conform to the guidelines laid down by most other registering and licensing organisations.
Types of life coaching available:
Note: services are available in telephone or email formats, or in a combination of these.
- Personal dynamic life coaching for individual adults and adolescents;
- Business coaching for individuals and business partners;
- Relationship coaching for couples;
- Supervision for coaches who wish to extend the depth of their own work.
- A full session is of 50 minutes duration.
Regular times for sessions are agreed at the start of the working arrangement. These times remain yours unless changed by mutual agreement. Full sessions begin at ten minutes past the hour and end on the hour. Sessions end on the hour even if they start late unless I am the cause of the lateness. Where sessions are of less than an hour the start and finish times are mutually determined. For telephone sessions via landlines or Skype within Europe the USA or to the UK, I will make and pay for the call.
Fees are payable in full either before or at the end of each session unless otherwise agreed. Monthly payments can also be arranged.
Payments are made by cash, bank transfer, PayPal, or by major credit card. Exact arrangements will be agreed at the onset of a working agreement.
Credit card payments can be made directly through this web site. Alternatively, once our relationship is established you can be invoiced monthly with a link to a payment page.
In the event that I am unable to provide the service as promised, you will receive a refund for the undelivered time. Should you find our work unsatisfactory after a period of time, you will receive a refund of the terminating session’s payment plus any payments outstanding against future sessions. This will be understood to terminate our working relationship.
- A 50-minute session fee, with email support, is US$220.00. This includes the cost of the telephone call if the client is accessed via landline in the UK, USA, or most other places.
- Clients in Europe may pay in Euros, Swiss Francs or Pounds sterling.
- When email is used as the primary mode of communication, each exchange costs $110.00.
Clients may occasionally email or telephone at times other than their regular hours if they need to. Reasonable time spent on such calls will not be charged for.
Cancellation and cessation policy:
Individual sessions may be canceled without charge provided that 24 hours’ notice is given. If preferred, and if time is available, clients can reschedule their session to a different time. In the event of a late cancellation due to weather conditions a half fee is payable.
The client can discontinue the working arrangement at any time on 24 hours’ notice. However, it is usually regarded as good practice to discuss the ending of a relationship some time before it takes place. This allows time to arrive at a satisfactory resolution and conclusion.
I may discuss matters relating to yourself in the confidential context of ‘supervision’ (described in the next paragraph) unless you specifically request otherwise. With this exception, anything you say or do during sessions is held in complete confidence and will not be repeated without your explicit permission. Clients are not bound by such confidentiality and may therefore discuss their work with whom they choose. Couples and other partners form their own agreements covering the confidentiality of each other’s material.
Supervision is a professional practice designed to extend a coach’s understanding and effectiveness. The practitioner discusses specific client issues with one or more colleagues in order to gain additional insight. When a client’s material is used in this process the client is disguised by changing names and other identifying information. Supervision itself is conducted under strict confidentiality.
I take no notes other than the basic name, contact data and a record of session dates and payments.
